We find ourselves in unprecedented times and adjusting to a very fluid situation as we manage through global and domestic COVID-19 impacts. Our prayers are with the families of those who have contracted the virus and those whose futures appear uncertain as a result of being exposed to it.
The health and safety of our customers, vendors, and team members is always our highest priority and serves as our guide for the day-to-day decisions made at B&G Equipment and Supply. The following modifications have been made to our standard business processes to ensure we are following all recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and helping to mitigate the spread of the virus:
Customer Interactions and Communication
We have asked our outside sales team to suspend physical visits to offices and jobsites and stay in touch with you via phone and email.
All employees have been educated on the benefits and importance of social distancing. In order to protect everyone through social distancing, BGES lobbies, offices, and mechanic shops will be closed to customers, vendors, and/or other guests until further notice.
We have placed alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout our offices and are regularly disinfecting high-traffic areas. BGES is limiting all nonessential travel and large gatherings.
Support and Service
Our plan is to remain operational and continue offering support to your projects as timely and effectively as we possibly can while ensuring we are following the guidelines released by the CDC and local government agencies.
If there are special instructions for our drivers and mechanics on your jobsites, please communicate those to us as soon as possible so we can meet your requests. Our drivers and technicians have been advised not to shake hands or be near anyone on jobsites when not completely necessary. In addition, we are taking extra precautions in our equipment preparation process by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting areas that are regularly touched.
Our team is dedicated to helping mitigate the impact of COVID-19 while supporting your projects without disruption by any means within our control.
